Step Into Imagination with Chinook & Hobby WestChinook & Hobby West has entered its 41st year here in Calgary. We would love to help you find a new hobby or to maintain or increase your current hobby. Our South Store
Many of our customers know of our store at 5011 MacLeod Tr. SW in Calgary, AB. We have been at this location since 1983 and we look forward to many more years here.
Over time we have adapted to meet our customers changing needs and now is no different. Currently, we are renovating the second floor of our store to include a unique space for our customers. On our main floor you can find many unique and value priced items from Estes Rockets and Star Wars and collectible toys to discontinued, current and new model railroading items (N & HO) and plastic model kits (Revell, AMT, Tamiya & Trumpeter to name a few). Also on our main floor we carry diecast (Gemini Jets, American Muscle, Hot Wheels, etc.), 12" and 3 3/4" action figures (Hasbro, Playmate, Barbie, etc.), plus a full range of paint and tools and more. Now we are working on our website. Join us in making a unique site by giving your input on what we can add to our website so you will enjoy it too! Our North Store
In Septmber 2011 we opened a second store here in Calgary. Located at 2604 - 4th St. NW.
This is an exciting time for us. With a new store, we have a new logo! As something different, each of our stores carries at least one line the other doesn't. The South has Diecast aircraft- Gemini Jets and our North store has O scale trains! We are looking forward to helping our surrounding communities in the North West discover fun and unique hobbies. We also look forward to helping those communities schools, community centres and other local clubs/events any way we can. Mid-October we were able to help the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank and the Southern Alberta Make-A-Wish foundation at both of our store locations.
